Local authorities have a statutory responsibility to improve, protect and promote public health, including ensuring
the safety of food prepared for sale, through registrations, inspections and the investigation of complaints. They also
act as the District Licensing Agency under the Sale of Liquor Act 1989.
Liquor Licensing
All liquor licensed premises must comply with the Sale of Liquor Act 1989. different types of licence's apply depending
on whether the sale or supply is for consumption on or off the premises. Any sale or supply of liquor to the public will be
