RSS (Really Simple Syndication)
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" allows you to identify the content you like and have it delivered
directly to you. RSS allows you to stay informed by getting the latest content from the Napier City
Council website without visiting the website.
Napier City Council's RSS feeds:

- Upcoming Events in Napier and Hawke's Bay
- Current Job Vacancies
- Current Projects and Updates

Subscribing to our RSS feeds
There are two ways to subscribe to our feeds:
- By clicking on the RSS icon, you will be taken to the RSS feed page. You can then copy the URL to your newsreader.
- Alternatively, if you have downloaded and installed an RSS newsreader application, you can drag and drop the RSS icon into your newsreader.
RSS Readers
RSS content can be read using software called an "RSS reader", "feed reader" or an "aggregator".
You can subscribe to our feed by entering the feed link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that
initiates the subscription process. The reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading
any updates that it finds you can set the time for this as well.
Free online newsreaders that you can access using your browser are Bloglines or Google Reader.
