Construction Started: n/a
Completed: 2011

The Maraenui Urban Renewal Plan (MURP) was established by an inter-agency group to help the people of Maraenui to make positive changes within their community.  New community facilities were created and many community projects were implemented including events.  Over time the community developed its own response to issues and opportunities resulting in new community groups being established.

MURP was reviewed in 2011 and its remaining actions were incorporated into a range of work streams included the Safer Napier programme, the Youth Services Plan, the Maraenui Green Upgrade and other community development programmes.
