The Long Road From a Broken Heart - Jeremy Scott, Adventurer

The Long Road From a Broken Heart - Jeremy Scott, Adventurer

This will be a not-to-be-missed evening for anyone keen on adventure, travel, exotic locations, long distance cycling or even cycling around the trails!

Jeremy Scott is a Kiwi adventurer, author and keynote speaker who is back home in NZ and on a 3 month speaking tour. This evening is organised by Friends of Napier Library and Sport Hawke's Bay.
Jeremy will have his book for sale - cash sales only.

Jeremy will share his story about his journey from life-saving open heart surgery as a child to his epic adventure cycling 52,000 around the globe for 2.5 years. A story to inspire both young people and older that there are still adventures to be had!

From freezing Turkish mountains to sweltering deserts in Western China, fighting with a shepherd in Uzbekistan, robbed in Cambodia and accused o spying in Iran (James Bond on a bicycle?!) his trip around the world was not for the faint hearted.

At the end of it, he published his book "The Long Road from A Broken Heart" full of stunning and startling photos.

During the journey and beyond Jeremy has raised $35,000 for the New Zealand, Australian and British Heart Foundations. Recently he was awarded the Australian Heart Foundation 'Heart Hero Award'.
