ParkMate

The Park Mate app makes paying for parking easier. ParkMate is a mobile parking app, providing easy pay parking in the Napier CBD and Taradale. It gives you the freedom to manage all of your parking payments from your smart phone. No need to worry about loose change!

You start the session when you arrive, and stop it when you're finished.  No more guessing how long you'll be, no lining up in the rain, and no need to have to return to your car should you wish to stay longer.  When you start a session, the clever app sends your rego details to the officer's devices meaning you no longer need to display a ticket - and you can avoid receiving one too!

It takes just two minutes to download and register for ParkMate NZ. The app is free to download from the Google Play Store or from the App Store.

Using ParkMate

  • Make sure you enter your car registration accurately.
  • Make sure you enter the correct parking zone or car park. Look for the signs on the pay and display machines to confirm which street parking zone or off-street car park you are in, i.e. NCC8 - Tiffen East, Napier, or use the map available.
  • Select the START button to start your parking and STOP to stop you've finished.
  • ParkMate charges a flat-rate transaction fee of 30 cents on top of the parking charge.

The app is integrated with Napier City Council’s parking system. When our parking officers enter your vehicle’s registration number into their tablet, your paid parking details show up on their screen. You still must not exceed the time limits specified in the parking location.

If you have any concerns or questions about using ParkMate, please contact our parking team on 068357579.For technical or account support with ParkMate visit the ParkMate website
