Art Deco Festival 2024 Road Closures

The following road closures will be in place over the following dates and times for the Art Deco Festival:

6am Thursday 15th Feb – 5:30 Sunday 18th Feb

  • Emerson St from Hastings St to Herschell St
  • Herschell St from Emerson St to Browning St
  • Tennyson St from Hastings St to Marine Parade

12am (midnight) Friday 16th Feb to 12am (midnight) Saturday 18th Feb

  • Herschell St from Tennyson St to Browning St

3pm Friday 16th Feb – 5:30 Sunday 18th Feb

  • Tennyson St from Cathedral Ln to Marine Pde
  • Hastings St from Browning St to Dickens St
  • Herschell St from Emerson St to Browning St
  • Emerson St from Herschell St to Dalton St
  • Marine Pde from Browning St to Vautier St
  • Marine Pde Parking Precinct from Albion St North until Marine Pde
  • Albion St from Hastings St to Marine Pde (no entry from Hastings Street)

12am - 12.30pm Saturday 17 February

  • Munroe St from Dickens St to Station St

6am - 2.30pm Saturday 17 February

  • Emerson St from Clive Sq East to Clive Sq West
  • Carlyle St from Tennyson St to Clive Sq West
  • Clive Sq East full length
  • Clive Sq West from Tennyson St to Emerson St

6am - 12am Saturday 18 Feb

  • Emerson St from Dalton St to Clive Sq East
  • Dalton St from Tennyson St and Dickens St

There will be no on street parking available within the road closed areas.


Art Deco Bus Shuttles

Heading into town for Art Deco weekend? Park in Ahuriri have a drink and bite to eat then catch the Deco Shuttle to the CBD for a gold coin donation.
Operating every half hour, this shuttle will depart from the bus stop outside the Bluewater Hotel, then stop at Spriggs Park beside the Boardwalk Restaurant & Bar and finish at Browning Street outside the Bach Café at Ocean Spa. These same stops will be used for the return journey during the following times:
Fri 16 Feb, 5pm – midnight
Sat 17 Feb, 10am - midnight
Sun 18 Feb, 10am - 5pm
Cost: Gold coin donation per passenger (one way).


There will also be a shuttle service operating from Motorhome Park on Marine Parade, with a stop at the Marine Parade Parking Precinct near Albion Street (100m from the Soundshell) and another stop at Lick This Icream Parlour, during the following times:
Fri 16 Feb, 5pm – midnight
Sat 17 Feb, 10am – midnight
Sun 18 Feb, 10am - 5pm
Cost: Gold coin donation per passenger (one way)
